SO because nobody would give you free gold you have to break the rules and cheat? I don't care how many games you have or how far you are. We all work very hard for our money, using our time of day to make trades and killing for drops when little newbies just go and buy illegal money. I'll tell you this now, even with perfect gear, you will be a terrible player. I could use a white nonmax weapon and still beat the crap out of any perfect character you have. Personal Skill is the biggest advantage you can have in this game, and you do not have it. |

Maybe I can see the 'want' or even 'need' to ebay in horrible grind-intensive games like Lineage2 or other korean grindfests... But ebaying in GW? You seriously lack any sort of will to succeed, I'm guessing. Seriously, I barely put out any effort to get money in this game and it freaking TUMBLES into my lap. just play the damn game instead of paying others to do half of it for you. I mean what would you think of some guy in baseball paid someone else to go to batting practice for him? "Well, um, I had the money?" Not really an excuse, you'd still think he sucked. Not to mention ebaying is strictly against the rules - and if ANet finds out - which from what I hear, they do quite often, your account gets banned and now you're out the $150+ you paid for all 3 campaigns. I'm just going to stop now. I could rant on this all day, but I'm guessing there's no point. You'll probably just come back with some arguement like "OMFG! But I've Got A Girlfriend You Pissant And Money And An Uber Job And I Can Just Buy Anything I Want! I Could Buy You! OMFG!" Or something equally vapid, like I've seen out of 99% of the people who I've ever seen make a post like this one. Ok - I'm done. |

You dont really "need" that much money at the moment anyway mate, you are at the begining of the game by the looks of things from the percentages you have mentioned, and even the top end armours can be purchased for around 10k for a full set. There are numerous collecters items in game which will give you the basic "perfect" stats that you are after, which you can get just by killing various enemys and trading the drops with collecters. It seems that at this point you are still finding your feet in the game so I will give you this piece of advice. Get yourself a Victos blade for 5k req 9: 15^50 :3-1(vampiric) :+30hp You really dont need 500k to set yourself up man. Plus you wont feel the satisfaction of that one perfect drop it seems we all eventually get. Not if youve already bought everything you think you might want , without playing the game enough to know for sure...not really anyway. Save your money until you know what you want to do with it. Other than buying skills of course which is a given. Last edited by Zamochit; Nov 06, 2006 at 03:39 PM // 15:39.. |

Regardless, if you think you're helping the REAL LIFE economy by buying GW gold, you're sadly mistaken. IIRC, CNN did a thing about it about a 2 months back. When you buy GW Gold (an imaginary item) with cash/credit (a real-world item) for a value set by mostly in-game factors (imaginary), and most of your real-world payment is sent overseas to people who, more likely than not, will not reciprocate the favor for your country, it creates imbalances in economy and actually devalues world currencies (Including your own). Think about it, if a guy started a company selling "Invisible Baseball Caps" in Thailand. And 3478625 people sent him $10 each for an "Invisible Baseball Cap" which is actually is just an empty cap-shaped box, you don't think that would have an impact on the economy? You're sending money overseas for NOTHING. You get no actual compensation. You are almost literally GIVING money to another country. Helping the economy? Grow a braincell. |

Dude, Don't ebay. Its a good way to get banned. I have posted the same comment in several threads that spending real money for in-game money is just lazy. But, no one has a right to say what you can spend your real money on. I don't think anet should have the right to ban you for ebay'ing but they do have the right and they will ban you. Be careful. Look through this website. There are many tips on how to become in-game rich. Last edited by Spydergst1; Nov 06, 2006 at 04:01 PM // 16:01.. |

This may sound odd but, the perfect sword for me is my 14-21 dmg vampiric scimitar of warding that dropped for me in the falls. It is only +19% hexed too, but I am happier using that than anything else. Maybe because it is mine ... if you know what I mean.
I don't 'farm' as such, running out to let a few trolls thump me and die in the process is extremely boring, instead I made it my mission to find a way to solo the falls with my warrior. I have now worked out a build and system where I can clear everything in there. Sometimes I die and have to work to clear the DP, but I always clear it. It is a labour of love and I reward myself by standing at the top, enjoying the FP view of the falls, once it is clear. The sense of achievement from this is great. I also play with builds to manage other 'tough' areas, such as sand giants and perdition rock. As a result, after 4 months of playing and enjoying myself, I have cash and materials that have built up to in excess of 1 million. You should try that, before actually breaking an agreement you made when signing up to play the game. To buy stuff ingame with real money is wrong and anyone who does it deserves to be banned. Just play the damn game, your 500K of illegally gotten gold will not make you a better player than someone who collects 5 bleached carapaces for a perfectly good functional sword. And Dahl I agree with you .... what a joke. That 30 hp won't do jack if you are getting your butt handed to you on a plate, but the energy/adrenaline to stop the butt handers might. Depends on the situation, I wish people would actually think more. I mean this sort of idiotic following what everyone else says, is why so many people were crying after the 55hp nerf. Didn't affect me 1 bit . I must stop now before I really start ranting. Peace! Cheers!! |

Report him to Anet for openly admitting to buying gold.
Then they look at his records, see a sudden HUGE rise in money, and ban him. Simple. I'm sure GW Guru would provide an IP address of the OP. |

Don't report him

Everyone deserves to make 1 mistake. Besides why would anet need an IP address. Da! His in-game name is right there for all to see. |

His 204 sword probably had crap mods on it when it was dropped from the monster/chest while yours probably had good ones spyder.

People can be mean, and whether you deserve it is debatable, but they're right about one thing - buying a Perfect Sword Won't Make The Game Easier Or Make You A Better Player.
Here are 3: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10072424 http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10072895 http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Warrior_collector_weapons As for which sword you should get, I'm serious. If you think the game is too hard at Lion's Arch or wherever you are, you have no idea what's ahead of you. Just keep your sword, it's fine, and start unlocking the rest of the warrior skills at skill trainers, try a few other secondary classes, buy Gladiator's Armour at Droknar's Forge, if you haven't already. Good luck. And yes, ebaying is against the rules. Enough people do it that you shouldn't get too upset about that, but you still wasted your money. |

Ebaying guild wars gold is paying someone else to do the work for you. Being run to droknar's forge is paying someone else to do the work for you. They are one in the same. If you have all 3 campaigns, and if you simply must have max armor, do it the legit way and travel to kaineng center to buy your max armor. It might not be as good looking, but it's LEGIT |
